HVLC Incremental Innovation

The Incremental Innovation Initiative has evolved over the last 22 years. We realized that our business was to serve CEOs and help them implement their agenda. HVLC Incremental Innovation or the War on Waste are productivity initiatives that are focused on action. When a team of employees comes up with an idea, the Innovation consultants put a full court press on the business to implement the ideas submitted.

However, HVLC Incremental Innovation Initiatives are a little more intense. They require a lot of work with CEOs to ferret out the strategy that will guide the initiative. The reason for the problem can be any number of issues:

Reasons for HVLC Incremental Innovation Initiatives

  • Are you losing market share
  • Is there a dwindling backlog of patents pending
  • Are you mining and capturing the intellectual property from all your employees?
  • Do you have a structure in place to manage innovation

The Case for an Incremental Innovation Initiative

A client began an HVLC Program and one employee stepped up with a radical new idea to increase production by about 10x with a modest investment of $3,000 for proof of concept. This demonstration program was completed in 6 weeks and full production started in 4 more weeks. Within 3 months the company was able to produce product at 1.5x the previous monthly production. In 9 months, production was up 3.5x monthly production from day 1. The total cost of the investment to reach this point was $50,000. The company was sold based upon this progress for $110 Million.

This led us to create the Innovation Initiative as part of our corporate offering. It allows companies to get firm control of their Innovation process or add one if they don't have one.
